O.......M.......G
I WAS going to do this nice post with pics and a poll about how my daughter Olivia and I got our haircut yesterday, complete with before and after pics...this was a big deal since Olivia, who is four, has never had a real haircut, just a small trim and bangs...
So....I went to transfer the pictures from my card to my computer and they showed transferred and deleted from my card, but when I opened my files....THEY ARE ALL GONE!
I have looked everywhere and cannot find them! I don't know what to do!
If you are a techie genius and have any thoughts for me, please, please, please, leave me a comment and how to reach you....I am desperate and hoping that the 48 pics I just transferred are SOMEWHERE on my computer!

Sorry. can't help. Hopefully someone knows what to do! One thing I've learned though, is when transferring photos from your memory card to your computer, you should always choose to copy them rather than to move them. Then, using the settings on your camera, delete them from the memory card.
Not doing this made my brother corrupt one of his memory cards and he had to pay someone to recover them from the card.
Right, always copy and paste them to your computer.
If you have any clue as to what any of the file names are of the pictures, then do search on your computer for one to see if it really is on your computer. If it is, then the rest of them should be there with them.
and if you dont know the names of the files, try transferring more pics and take note of the names. then maybe you can search for those to see where they are going. sorry im not much help!
I agree with the searching idea, because maybe they just went to a different directory than normal.
also, I assume you checked your recycle bin already, but make sure you sort it so you can see the newest things that were deleted.
I am so sorry to hear this happened to you!
Try running a *.jpg search on your computer from the root (or C:) drive. Your software may have put them in a different directory on you.
Hope this helps.
Did you look in your trash?
Try doing a restore.

there is this too if all else fails:

I was going to suggest the things that everyone else has suggested, so I guess I am no help! I hope you are able to recover them!! ((hugs))
You could try doing an advanced search, and choose the date you uploaded them...or "within the last week"...
This is great info to know.
