Weekend scrapping....

Well, our camping trip got rained out....stupid weather men....they said we were only going to get scattered showers and then it was supposed to rain all weekend! So we didn't go....it rained alot yesterday but not so much today! I really really need to be a weather person, I think it's the only job where you can consistently be wrong and still have a job!
Anyway, I got some scrapping done this weekend. Check out this layout I did for YMBD's saturday scraplift! I really love the way it turned out!

Journal

I made this journal last night for Marissa. I took a spiral bound journal and ripped it apart, altered the covers with cardstock and made the pages with scraps from my scrapbox.
I used paint and chicken wire to make the stripe along the bottom...it has amazing texture....feels kind of like snake skin!
I filled the pages with journaling spots and embellie's for her to work around...the idea is for her to have a place to put down her feelings....however she wants...through words, pictures, drawings, paint, collage...whatever!

June is halfway over already?!

I can't believe how fast time flies sometimes! I got to go camping earlier in the month and I have been busy in my scrap room....as always!

Hannah has had some prime little quotes this month....as has Olivia! I can't wait to scrap some of them....for example:
Olivia says while camping "It's like being in Nature....but with potty's!"
Hannah at the drive through at the bank "I want a crabby patty!"
Anyway...they are growing up so fast!
Marissa is doing well in the hospital. It's been a rough start for her but I really think that having some contact with her bio dad might help her work through alot of her anger....at least we are optomistic anyway!

Summer is......

Nothing exciting here

I wish I had something cool to talk about, but I don't. I have been picking up some hours at work and doing lots of scrapping.
Here is a layout of this HORRIBLE storm we drove through the other day on our way home from Pittsburgh! We actually drove through a rainbow at one point...coolest thing ever! But....there was no pot of gold. Big surprise there!

I did a card!

Marissa is leaving again :(

Well....we gave it a go, but Marissa is leaving for residential again on Thursday. She just got home in August.
Her behaviors have become even more severe (and I thought that wasn't possible) but now she is harming herself.
She had to be taken Inpatient on Saturday for banging her head through a glass window pane....thank God she wasn't hurt! Not even a scratch....at least I know someone up there is looking out for her.
I am going to miss her sooo much, and yet again praying that THIS will be the time they figure all this out, this will be the time that my little Rissy comes home again, this will be the time we can all move forward with our lives. This will be the time.
I did this layout about my feelings on this. I heard this song on One Tree Hill by Kate Voegle called sweet silver lining. These are the journaling on this, it reads "I may be weak but I'm never defeated and I'll keep believing in clouds with that sweet silver lining."

LOVE this town!

Well, we moved to another county in the fall and I wasn't familiar with it at all. In the end though, I LOVE it here! There is always something to do and it's all so family friendly!
Last weekend we went to a carnival in a small town nearby and had a BLAST! The next day? The world's largest chicken BBQ! Though I forgot my camera for that one, we had an awesome time! It's this beautiful park with a large duck pond and probably five or six mini-playgrounds and a petting zoo.
For Memorial day there is an evening parade on Monday that I hope to get to after we get back from camping.
In short? I have found home. I have found the town where I want to raise my kids and grow old, and that is a feeling I wouldn't trade for the world!

The Weekend is HERE!!!!!

Well, I have to work Saturday and Sunday, but I am hoping to get some good quality time in with the kiddos anyway.
If the weather holds, though it's not looking promising now, there is a carnival 2 towns over that I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to get the kids to tonight.....there is nothing like the first carnival of the season!
Tomorrow, after work, we want to get Olivia out and practice her T-ball skills....and I am sure Hannah will do a little swinging too!
As for Sunday....well, I am keeping that open, I may just need to chill after working 2 whole days in a row! LOL......

If you know me you know I am having a really super bad day, and all I want to do is disappear into my scrap room and forget it for a little while......unfortunatly that's not an option at the moment.
I just feel like the world is closing in on me and nothing I do will ever make me feel like a part of the regular world. I don't know.
Well....the good news is Olivia has her first T-ball game tonight and I cannot WAIT to watch! I coach also, but at her age they are all just sooo freakin' cute playing the game!
So here I sit, cruising the net, doing laundry and just biding my time until the game.........

ATC

I am working on an ATC list....I want to get together as many people's addy's as I can so I have a master list of people to send to whenever I want! If your interested, please let me know! I would love to get one out to you too!

Scrapping again!

Well...I am now scrapping again, and I LOVE it!
On the life front, well, 12 is in the hospital again and things just continue to go on the same as they have....I don't know what more we can do for her unless she is willing to help herself.
5 is playing t-ball and we are coaching the team...hopefully pics will follow here soon as she is freakin' adorable out there!
3 is turning into such a little bad butt.....man, I just don't know what to do with her! She is so animated and full of herself these days!
Life is good though, all and all, I couldn't ask for more!
