Complainers

My sister-in-law tragically lost her husband last year and has been testing the waters on the internet. She is brave for doing this, I don't think I could put myself out there like that.
Anyway, I was at her house last night for a party and a message popped up on her computer from this guy she has been talking to. She started to tell me about him and how he complains all the time about not being able to get ahead in life.
I hate complainers. So, with her permission, I start talking to this guy. He proceeds to whine to me that he works all the time and never has any money and can't pay his child support, he can barely pay his rent and gas. He claims to have worked over 100 hours last week. This does not add up to me.
He tells me that unless you are born with money you cannot be successful. He previously told my sister that the only way she got where she is was by sucking and fu***ng her way to the top!
He then told me that he had not taken a shower in 4 days. When I told him to go brush his teeth he asked me why.
These are the kind of people who really P**s me off! This is about where I go off. What do people expect these days? That everything should be handed to them? That we should all have corvettes and live in mansions regardless of being a lawyer or a bar tender?
WAKE UP PEOPLE! This is not how the world works. I have 3 kids, I stay home with them. My husband works pretty long hours for not that great of a wage. WE ARE POOR! We don't have welfare or anything but we don't have cell phones or a new car either. We chose this life. We decided to sacrifice. We don't expect to be rich this way!
I don't understand where things went wrong. When did everyone start believing that we are owed something? Seriously, don't we have enough? Most of us are not living on the streets, we have food, we have TV's, cars, pets, and the right to choose who runs our Country.
Since when is this not enough? If you have the answer please, let me know, because I am at a loss here.
